My goal on starting with Ian was to loose weight and get fit. On taking my blood pressure he advised that it was too high for him to train me, he advised me on what exercise I could do and also diet, within 6 weeks my blood pressure had come down to a level that he could train me. Within another 6 weeks I had lost my first stone. I was totally amazed how much I was enjoying exercising and how good it made me feel, I was less stressed at work and had lots more energy. 6 months later I completed the Mablethorpe ½ marathon (power walking) I am now in training for the Paris Marathon, I still find if hard to believe I have come so far. I could not have achieved any of this without Ian’s support, it’s not just a case of seeing him once a week for a training session it’s the whole package, he’s always there if I need advice and nothing is too much trouble. It has been hard at times but I have done everything he has told me and tried to put 100% effort into whatever he has given me to do. I have lost 2 and a half stone and am now a different person to the one that first started with him and will be forever grateful for his expertise and at times patience when things have been tough for me. I was first given a number of sessions with Ian as a Christmas present from my wife. When this course finished I immediately booked a regular weekly session with him as a personal trainer as I was so pleased with the service he offered and the results I achieved. Ian listened very carefully to what I wanted to achieve and we were able to set some realistic goals. Ian provided me with an eating plan and gave me very sound advice about when and what I should eat. The exercise sessions were hard work, but always fun. I finished each session tired, but knew that I was achieving something. I lost fat and gained in strength and power. Ian’s guidance made me realise that I hadn’t really been performing some exercises properly and with his coaching I was really able to feel my body working.
